What triple laser can improve
Separate RGB primaries can cover a broader color gamut than many single-laser phosphor systems and avoid the need to create all colors from one laser wavelength.
What it does not guarantee
Black level, tone mapping, uniformity, lens sharpness, motion handling and calibration depend on the entire projector system. A “triple laser” label alone does not establish overall picture quality.
Speckle can vary
Coherent laser light can produce visible speckle on some screens and for some viewers. Screen material and the projector's optical design influence how noticeable it is.
DLP versus 3LCD still matters
Many RGB-laser USTs use single-chip DLP. Epson's LS800 instead uses 3-chip 3LCD. These architectures differ in how they create the image, so compare the whole product rather than laser count.
